Dulcie Belanger is a sculptural ceramic artist based in Montana, whose work is deeply rooted in her connection to nature, her community, and her lived experiences as a woman and mother. Growing up in Western Oregon, Dulcie developed a profound respect for the natural world, which continues to shape her artistic practice. Her work explores themes of identity, interdependence, and storytelling, addressing the delicate balance between humanity’s reverence for and dominance over the environment and cultures. At its core, her art calls for mutual respect among all species to foster harmony and ensure a sustainable future.

Drawing inspiration from folklore and tradition, Dulcie reimagines the narratives of ceramic art through a contemporary lens. Her distinctive style reflects her passion for storytelling and her commitment to fostering creativity within her community. Dulcie began her artistic journey at the Choteau Community Art Studio in Montana and studied art at the University of Montana. She continues to create in the Bitterroot Valley, with her work exhibited at spaces including The Artist Shop and 4 Ravens Gallery in Missoula, MT, and Art City in Hamilton, MT.
